During the Launch of MWiB at the Methodist Conference on July 2nd 2011 at Southport.
Jill Baker was commissioned as the first president MWiB
while Alison Judd, Gillian Pengelly and Elizabeth Marriot were commissioned as the executive and representatives from 31 districts were commissioned to serve on the MWiB forum.

2011 Women’s Network and the World Federation of Methodist and Uniting Church women (British unit) came together to form Methodist Women in Britain.
